Australia Day 2026

Join us on Monday January 2026 at the Memorial Park at 8.00 am for a BBQ Breakfast  and coffee 

​

The official opening will commence at 9 am, followed by the presentation of the Citizen of the Year Awards.

These awards celebrate individuals and groups whose contributions have made a significant and lasting impact within our community.

The event will also include a Citizenship Ceremony, where we will welcome 7 new citizens

.

Guests will hear from our Australia Day Ambassador, Ms Monique Bareham, the 2022 Australian of the Year. Ms Bareham is widely recognised as a ‘powerhouse’ lymphoedema advocate and a tireless consumer partner in research and her address is sure to inspire.

Council encourages residents, families and visitors to attend and share in this important day of reflection, recognition and celebration.
